    Jung Min Choi, acclaimed for her "wealth of colour and nuance" by The Strad, recently won First Prize and Special Prize at the 2023 Schoenfeld International String Competition. A second prize winner at the 2020 Elmar Oliveira International Violin Competition and a special prize recipient at the Michael Hill International Violin Competition, Jung Min garnered attention from a young age for her exceptional musical talent and unique virtuosity.

    Debuting at the Kumho Art Hall Prodigy Series at the age of 12, Jung Min has since performed across Asia, Europe, and North America, including Merkin Hall, John F. Kennedy Center for Performing Arts, Verizon Hall, A. Mickiewicz University Auditorium, and Seoul Arts Center.

    Accepted into the Curtis Institute of Music at just 13, she studied under Joseph Silverstein, Pamela Frank, and Victor Danchenko. After completing her Bachelor’s degree at Curtis, she earned her Master’s degree at NEC with Miriam Fried and an Artist Diploma at CIM with Ilya Kaler.

    Jung Min currently resides in Tokyo, receiving mentorship from Koichiro Harada and Kyoko Takezawa at Tokyo College of Music.

    Jung Min plays a 1771-72 Giovanni Battista Guadagnini of Turin, generously loaned by a private collector.
